Minimum wage / minimum salary

Apprenticeship pay
1st year of apprenticeship: EUR 925.00
2nd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,035.00
3rd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,215.00
4th year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,305.00


Supplements and allowances
Lump sum for clothes, supplement for foreign languages, allowance for night work


Working time
The regular working time is 40 hours per week

Supplement for extra hours
: usually 50 %


Notice periods
Notice period of 14 days for both parties after the initial trial period.


Please note: Expiry of claims
Any claims to wages lapse within
four months
after the termination of the employment relationship unless asserted in writing. This limitation period is extended by the period of time the latest payroll accounting was delayed due to the employer’s fault.


Other results achieved regarding socio-political aspects
In accordance with the supplementary collective agreements for the Vienna hotel industry and coffee houses, employees with relevant vocational training have the same status as skilled workers.
