Posting of workers platform

Information on the posting of transport sector workers from the EU, the EEA and Switzerland.

As a rule, employees who are deployed internationally to carry passengers or goods are regarded as posted workers.

When workers are posted from the EEA and Switzerland to carry out the carriage of passengers and goods, certain special provisions of EU and Austrian law apply.

In some cases, these special provisions are different from the provisions described in other menu items on this website. There may be differences as to whether cross-border work activities in the transport sector are considered as cases of posting of workers and the rights and obligations arising from the posting may be different. For all details, please see the downloads.
