Results of the latest round of negotiations
  • Increase of minimum wages under the collective agreement by 5.0%


Minimum wage / minimum salary
Bed manufacturing industry:
  • Simple tasks: from EUR 10.27 to EUR 10.91 (Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland) and from EUR 9.82 to EUR 10.47 (Salzburg, Carinthia, Tyrol, Upper Austria, Styria) per hour
  • Tasks requiring qualification: EUR 11.54 (Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland) and EUR 11.80 (Salzburg, Carinthia, Tyrol, Upper Austria, Styria) per hour
  • Tasks requiring high qualification: EUR 12.06 (Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland) and EUR 11.98 (Salzburg, Carinthia, Tyrol, Upper Austria, Styria) per hour
Quilt manufacturers:
  • Simple tasks: from EUR 9.74 to EUR 10.42 per hour
Button and garment fastening industry:
  • Simple tasks: EUR 9.74 per hour
  • Tasks requiring qualification: EUR 10.89 per hour
  • Tasks requiring high qualification: EUR 11.17 per hour


Working time
The regular working time is 38.5 hours per week
.
Supplement for extra hours
: usually 50%, during specified times 100%.


Notice periods
For employers and employees:
2 weeks
after 1 year of employment 3 weeks
after 5 years of employment 4 weeks
after 10 years of employment 5 weeks
after 15 years of employment 6 weeks


Please note: Expiry of claims
Claims to contractual wages must be asserted within three months after termination of the employment relationship.
Please note that all other claims arising from the employment relationship must be asserted within four months after their payment due date.
