  • Increase of apprenticeship pay by Ø 6.24%

Minimum wage / minimum salary
  • Simple tasks: from EUR 8.92 to EUR 9.00 per hour
  • Tasks requiring qualification: from EUR 9.87 to EUR 12.55 per hour
  • Tasks requiring high qualification: EUR 15.69 per hour

Apprenticeship pay
1st year of apprenticeship: EUR 600.00
2nd year of apprenticeship: EUR 675.00
3rd year of apprenticeship: EUR 900.00

Working time
The regular working time is 40 hours per week
Supplement for extra hours
: usually 50%, during specified times 100%.

Notice periods
For employers and employees:
14 days
up to 1 year of employment 1 month
after 5 years of employment 2 months
after 15 years of employment 3 months
after 20 years of employment (only in Lower Austria) 5 months

Please note: Expiry of claims
Any claims arising from the employment relationship expire six months after the end of the calendar year in which they arose.
